Bylaws Amendments: 

2024:  During the Fall 2024 Annual Meeting a Bylaws amendment was approved to amend Section 14.1.B to include additional Turtle Race participation conditions negotiated with the Michigan DNR fisheries division.

2020:  During the Spring 2020 Annual Meeting a Bylaw amendment was proposed to alter the dates boat and trailers are allowed to be stored in the upper and lower ball park.  Section 8.8.

Change from: During the period beginning at 11:59 PM on the Friday proceeding Memorial Day until the day after the Annual Turtle Race no boats or trailers shall be stored in the Upper Ballpark, and boats and trailers located in the Lower Ballpark shall be located along the East embankment...............................

Change to: During the period beginning at 11:59 PM on the Friday proceeding Memorial Day until the day after the Annual Turtle Race no watercraft or trailers shall be stored in the Upper Ballpark, and no watercraft shall be stored in the Lower Ballpark. Trailers stored in the Lower Ballpark shall be located along the East embankment....................

On August 8, 2020, during the duly noticed Fall Annual Meeting, by majority vote of all Members in attendance, the Bylaws were amended.

2019:  During the Spring 2019 Annual Meeting a Bylaw amendment was proposed to alter the dates boat and trailers are allowed to be stored in the upper ball park.  Section 8.8.

Change from: During the period beginning the day before the RLPPOA Spring Meeting and the day after the Annual Turtle Race....................

Change to: During the period beginning at 11:59 PM on the Friday preceding Memorial Day until the day after the Annual Turtle Race...................

On August 3, 2019, during the duly noticed Fall Annual Meeting, by unanimous vote of all Members in attendance, the Bylaws were amended.  The current version of the Bylaws can be found using the Bylaws link above.

2015:  During the Spring 2015 Annual Meeting a Bylaw amendment was proposed to implement a fine for boats and trailers left in the upper ball park between the weekend of Memorial Day and the day after the Annual Turtle race.  The proposed amendment can be found here, and is posted at the RLPPOA mail boxes. The proposed amendment was also emailed to all Members who provided email addresses.

On August 1, 2015, during the duly noticed Fall Annual Meeting, by unanimous vote of all Members in attendance, the Bylaws were amended.  The current version of the Bylaws can be found using the Bylaws link above.

2010:  A proposal to amend the bylaws was brought before the Membership during the 2010 Spring Meeting, and was voted on during the 2010 Fall Meeting.  The intent of these bylaws changes is to bring our bylaws into full compliance with recent Michigan Attorney General opinion 7320.  The Membership approved the proposal as presented.
