Welcome to the RLPPOA Home Page!

The Runyan Lake Point Property Owner's Association, Inc. (RLPPOA) is a private community located off of Carmer Road via the private road Runyan Lake Point, which is owned and maintained by the RLPPOA.  Runyan Lake Point provides access to Spring Street, which is also owned and maintained by the RLPPOA.

RLPPOA is a Summer Resort Corporation and is authorized and empowered by Michigan Public Act 137 of 1929, and Michigan Public Act 44 of 2006.  RLPPOA operates as a neighborhood association, its primary objectives being to provide access to the homes in the neighborhood via the owned private roads, maintenance of the private roads (general maintenance, winter snow plowing and salting), and ownership and maintenance of the park areas.  All members of RLPPOA are also members of Runyan Lake Inc. (RLI).

The Runyan Lake Point community has existed since 1932, and has an annual fall tradition of hosting the Turtle Race.

You can access more RLPPOA information by clicking the link buttons across the top of this page.

Runyan Lake Inc. (RLI) has jurisdiction over the lands abutting Runyan Lake, and also other properties around Runyan Lake by virtue of being a Summer Resort Corporation.  RLI was issued a corporation charter by the state of Michigan on November 10, 1950, and is authorized and empowered by Michigan Public Act 137 of 1929, and Michigan Public Act 44 of 2006.   RLI also charges annual dues in addition to your RLPPOA annual dues.  A complete description of the territory under RLI's jurisdiction can be found in the recitals of the RLI Bylaws.  A MAP of the territory can be accessed below.

Association Basics:  RLI has jurisdiction over the lands within its territory, but limits that jurisdiction to matters which directly affect Runyan Lake.  RLI is not involved with architectural standards, neighborhoods, roads, or utilities.  There are also three neighborhood associations within the RLI territory: the Runyan Lake Heights Association, Inc. (RLHAI), the Runyan Lake Point Property Owners Association, Inc. (RLPPOA), and the Runyan Lake East Condominium Association.  More information about these associations can be found HERE

Contacting RLPPOA:  If you have an urgent need for information about a specific property (dues outstanding, lake access rights, lien status or settlement) you are more likely to reach us quickly by email than by phone.  Please email us HERE or you may use the direct contact information below.  We will get back to you as soon as we can.
